These days I'm managing grief.
Keeping Active
I just tried a spin class for the first time today, and I loved it. The atmosphere the instructor created brought me back to nights I would ride my bike home from my fast food job. A simpler time.
Volleyball starts next Wednesday. I joined a new team, familiar faces, but a clean slate.
I've been walking trails in my town older than I am with Max, a silly black lab.
Making Connections
I've been attending church regularily and being honest about my emotions when someone sincerely asks.
I've been making plans with friends, old and new.
Learning
My brother has persuaded me into learning a language again, I chose Korean. I'm commited to keeping a streak going on Duolingo.
The same brother is helping me code this very website.
Music
Like many others, I have a deep connection with music. I am listening to artists that were pivitol in my teen years again. Dermot Kennedy, Bears Den, and Seafret to name a few. I've also been loving Noah Kahan, his "Northern Attitude" resonates with me.
When my older brother returns frome exploring BC, we will start jamming again. Our vocals blend nicley, and he is a wizard on the guitar learning any song I show him on the spot I would like to sing.
